At Bangqi we build faucets in both brass and stainless steel, finished by spray painting, powder coating, electroplating or PVD. Different routes share one rule: cartons from the same order should look as if they were finished in the same hour. It starts with the blank. Brass bodies are machined from consistent stock, so the metal does not wander between melts. Stainless parts start from controlled material lots. Defects and porosity are caught before polishing, because no coating hides a void or turns a rough surface into a smooth one. Polishing sets the stage for every color finish. Operators work against a surface standard and a master piece, not from memory. The same paint, powder or plated layer reads differently on a coarse surface than on a fine one; if the base is not uniform, the color on top cannot be uniform either. Color is applied through different routes, but the discipline is the same. Paint and powder coatings take their color from the supplier's formula, so we lock each order to one material lot and record the reference. Electroplated and PVD colors depend on bath or chamber conditions, so each finish family stays on one line for the life of the order. Parameters are recorded per batch, so a drifting color can be traced back to the batch that produced it. Then every batch is matched to the master. Each run starts by comparing the first finished piece against the sealed color sample under consistent light, and a dedicated inspector repeats that comparison through the run. Color is never judged from memory or in isolation, only against the physical master that both sides signed. That master stays on file, so next year's reorder is compared to the same reference as this year's. Each batch also keeps a physical retained sample and a test record that travels with the batch number, including adhesion and salt spray results where the finish calls for them. If a distributor ever sees a problem, the record shows which material lot or which line produced it, and we fix the cause instead of arguing about the symptom. What does this mean for a distributor? Consistent finish means fewer complaints, fewer returns, and reorders that match the first shipment. A showroom shelf stocked from one factory should look like a single collection. That is the standard we hold ourselves to, in brass or stainless, painted, powder coated, plated or PVD, one batch at a time.

Touchless models answer with a sensor that starts water when a hand comes near and stops it when the hand moves away. The real question is whether that sensor model beats the traditional lever faucet most kitchens already have. A week of cooking shows the gap. A traditional kitchen faucet does everything through the handle: mixing, temperature and flow. That is why it collects grease and raw poultry juices all day. But it is almost purely mechanical, a brass body with a ceramic cartridge and little else to fail. Temperature is instant and continuous, which matters in a kitchen that never stops. A sensor faucet has no handle in daily use. An infrared sensor near the spout opens an internal solenoid valve when a hand comes near and closes it when the hand pulls away. Nothing is touched, so it stays clean during raw meat prep. The catch: temperature was set earlier on a separate handle, and every cycle drains the batteries. A busy kitchen shows the difference quickly. A sensor cannot tell why a hand is near: a passing dish or a child reaching for a cup can start the water. Around a sink that never sits still, false starts waste water daily. The traditional faucet never runs by itself, because running it takes a deliberate touch. The trade is predictability against cleanliness, and durability sits with the traditional side. A lever faucet has few parts, with a ceramic cartridge built for hundreds of thousands of cycles. A sensor model adds a solenoid, a control board, batteries and the sensor, four more ways to fail. They cost more and need fresh batteries every year or two, and without a manual override a flat battery turns the faucet into a paperweight. So which makes more sense in a busy kitchen? Overall, the traditional faucet: no false starts, instant temperature, no batteries, lower price. A sensor model earns its place only where hygiene outranks everything, such as a kitchen that handles raw poultry daily. For nearly every busy kitchen, traditional is the better choice. Either way, the parts you cannot see decide how long the faucet lasts. A solid brass body and a good cartridge matter more than the box it ships in. A drain that looks fine in a landlocked city can start pitting within a year on the coast. So if you're buying for coastal markets, here's what factories can realistically offer. Material first, because no coating saves a bad body. 304 stainless is the baseline, but for real coastal work you want 316. The molybdenum in it is what fights off chloride attack. Costs more, holds up way longer. Zinc-alloy bodies are a hard no near the ocean — they corrode from the inside where you can't see it until it's too late. Brass is a solid middle option, but only with proper plating. And that's the next lever: multi-layer electroplating. A good factory does acid copper, then nickel, then chrome. The nickel layer is the real barrier — cheap plating skips it or goes thin, and that's where rust starts. Ask how many microns of nickel they lay down. PVD coating is the upgrade path. It's harder than regular plating and much more resistant to salt spray. Also comes in finishes like brushed gold and gunmetal, which doesn't hurt when you're selling looks as well as durability. Passivation is the quiet one — a cheap acid bath for stainless that rebuilds the protective oxide layer after machining and welding. Adds almost nothing to cost, so just ask for it. Here's the part most buyers skip: verify everything with a salt spray test report. 480 hours is a decent bar for coastal products, 1000 hours is excellent. If the factory can't produce test data, treat their corrosion claims as marketing talk. And remember the cover isn't the only part that matters — check the body, the grate, even the screws. One cheap screw will rust first and make the whole drain look dead.

The cheapest option is a polybag with a plain brown box, fine for project orders but useless for retail. One step up is a plain white box with your sticker on it — low MOQ, quick turnaround, decent middle ground. The full color box is where things get interesting. You supply the artwork, the factory prints it on roughly 350g coated paper, CMYK. Your brand on the front, specs on the side, maybe a QR code on the back linking to an install video. That QR code does real work — fewer support calls, fewer returns. Add an insert tray so the drain and its parts don't rattle around, and the whole thing feels like a serious product instead of a random hunk of metal. Now the catch: MOQ. Custom boxes usually run 500 to 1000 pieces per SKU, sometimes more for small sizes. So start with your two or three best-selling models, brand those, and expand later. Le placage mérite une mention spéciale. Les lignes de PVD et de galvanoplastie desservent souvent plusieurs usines, vos pièces attendent donc dans une file d'attente. Prévoyez sept à dix jours. Ensuite, le contrôle qualité et l'emballage prennent quelques jours. Les bons fournisseurs envoient des photos ou un rapport d'inspection par un tiers avant l'expédition. Enfin, le fret. L'expédition maritime vers les États-Unis ou l'Europe prend trois à cinq semaines ; le fret aérien prend quelques jours mais coûte cher. En additionnant tout cela, vous obtenez environ huit à douze semaines de porte à porte. Deux choses perturbent le plus ce calendrier : les retours lents du côté de l'acheteur et les fermetures pour les fêtes chinoises, en particulier autour de la Fête Nationale et du Nouvel An chinois.
